We understand that behavioral issues in pets can be difficult and frustrating. Aggression, separation anxiety, noise phobias, and elimination issues (such as peeing in inappropriate places) are some of the most common behavioural problems seen in pets. Sadly, some of these issues are a leading reason why dogs and cats are re-homed.

It’s important to rule out underlying health issues that may be driving unwanted behaviours. Pain or chronic inflammation, for example, may make a pet cranky and prone to lashing out. Similarly, mobility issues or a urinary tract infection may have cats peeing where it’s convenient rather than in their litter boxes. Once we’ve ruled out physical and metabolic issues, our veterinarians will work with you to create a personalized treatment plan that puts your pet in his/her happy place so you can both enjoy life and each other.
