Urgent and Sick Care

As pet people ourselves, we know how it feels to have a pet that’s been wounded, is in distress, or is simply ADR (vet speak for “Ain’t Doing Right”). We’re here for you, ready for the unexpected and prepared to step in to help when you need us most. SOVH’s team is well-versed in triage – prioritizing patients based on level of medical urgency. Our first priority is always the “this can’t wait” emergency. For urgent, but non-emergency, cases we offer same-day, or next-day appointments based on severity. We’ll see you. You can count on us.

Emergency Hospitals in our Area

Emergencies can take place outside our operating hours and when they do, please contact the closest veterinary emergency hospital:

Emergency centres can fill quickly on any given day. Once full, they won’t accept any more patients,
so it’s best to call ahead. If you’re told you’ll be seen, don’t delay. The sooner you arrive, the sooner
your pet will be seen. Expect lengthy wait times.
