We’re here for you, ready for the unexpected and prepared to step in to help when you need us most. SOVH’s team is well-versed in triage – prioritizing patients based on their level of medical urgency. Our priority is always the “this can’t wait” emergency. For urgent, but non-emergency, cases we offer same-day or next-day appointments based on severity. We’ll see you. You can count on us!

Southeast Oakville Veterinary Hospital is open Monday through Friday, 8am-8pm, and Sunday from 9am-4pm. We offer telemedicine services on Saturdays and every night after we are closed.

If any of the situations below apply to your pet, call us at (905) 858-1345 if we’re open, or reach out to one of the veterinary emergency clinics listed in the next section.

Emergencies can take place outside our operating hours. If this happens with your pet, we recommend contacting one of the veterinary emergency clinics listed below. Keep in mind that emergency centres can fill up quickly on any given day. Once full, they can’t accept any more patients, so be sure to call ahead! The sooner you arrive, the sooner your pet will be seen. Expect lengthy wait times.

“I would leave more stars if I could! My 4 year old husky needed to be seen after ingesting a rib bone over the holidays. I called in to the clinic and was promptly given a same day appointment. The receptionist was very friendly and upbeat, matching the energy of all the staff we encountered during our visit. Dr. Peters and his vet tech, Cheryl, were thorough and extremely patient with my dog (she’s a little nervous at the vet). They took frequent breaks, kept the interactions positive, and didn’t push beyond her comfort zone. It was evident that the standard of care was very high.

The facility was beautiful, very clean, and as we were waiting to see the vet, staff offered me a beverage and advised that I could help myself to the fridge if I changed my mind.

I was definitely nervous to start with a new vet after ours retired recently, but that nervousness quickly subsided. I am so impressed with the team at Southeast Oakville! Highly recommend these guys if your looking for a vet in the area 🙂
