Adrienne Dunko
Veterinary Care Coordinator
From the time she was a young girl growing up in Etobicoke, Adrienne had an unshakeable connection to the animal world. Whether it was a found injured bird, a stray kitten, or a pair of abandoned farm geese, she simply could not walk away from an animal in need. That natural compassion eventually led her to a co-op placement at a local veterinary hospital, sparking a passion for the veterinary field that has only grown stronger over time.
After pursuing studies in Fine Arts at York University, Adrienne spent many years developing her skills as a Veterinary Care Coordinator at a busy Etobicoke practice. When the opportunity to join the SOVH team arose, the chance to work in a state-of-the-art hospital with people who share her values and commitment to exceptional, personalized care was simply too good to pass up.
At SOVH, Adrienne has a gift for making clients and their pets feel welcome, supported, and at ease from the moment they walk through the door, because she genuinely believes that pets aren’t just pets, they’re family.
When she’s not at work, you’ll find her exploring the natural world, hiking trails, bird watching, taking road trips to visit small towns, but most of all, enjoying quality time with her young son, friends and family. At home, she shares her space with four Bengal cats named Lulu, Mishka, Felix, and Forest, along with her Alexandrine Parakeet Ollie and rescued Senegal parrot Kiwi.
